APTECH has an extensive database of software tools that are used on different projects. Some of these tolls have been specially developed in-house or others are commercially available programs that APTECH uses for specific clients such as ADLPIPE or ANSYS for certain types of piping analyses, and ROTOR in turbine analyses. APTECH uses its generic boiler heat transfer model to assess boiler operating and design problems. Some of these software tools include:

  • PREFIS
  • Fitness for Services - Software program using ASME Section X1 and API 579 to determine FFS of equipment items.
  • Faceup - Computer code that effectively utilizes ultrasonic measurements for a realistic assessment of flow-assisted corrosion condition and future life projections.
  • TFDGEN - Fracture mechanics analysis aimed at evaluating the seriousness of flaws that are found and sized in the field by conventional NDE techniques.
  • RUL SW - This software provides RUL estimates from input information that comes from nondestructive data or destructive tube sampling.
  • LFRAC - Software provides an estimate of life fraction remaining for ferritic heater tubing.
  • Balife - Probalilistic analysis package for forecasting failure rates. Results provide an economic analysis of run, repair, or replace decisions.
  • RDMIP - Risk Directed Mechanical Integrity Program that assesses the risk of process equipment and helps with the implementation of RBI programs.
  • Pipeline Integrity Management Programs - Software programs that assist pipeline operators manage extensive NDE, pigging, and GIS data.
