Non-Intrusive Technology

NDE technology has evolved to a point in this day and time to where it can, in many cases, be a real alternative to the traditional opening of vessels, valves, and flanges. Many of these inspections can be performed on line. The increased level of confidence in the results often leads to increased time between inspections, consequential cost savings, and greater plant availability. This will lead the industry to design inspection programs and methodologies to suit their own particular needs and operating conditions.

Advanced Technology

Advanced systems have the capability to image discontinuities or flaws, which are present in components in such a manner as to provide real insight into the underlying problems.

These advanced systems have the ability to detect relevant defects and measure their position, size, and location. they reveal the data in such a manner that it is possible to use the data in accordance with relevant codes or directly within fitness for services, engineering assessment, or risk based inspection strategies.

These advanced systems store and report data in a manner that allows remaining life assessment and realistic inspection interval monitoring.

Available Techniques
  • Angle beam mechanized shear ware - Code compliant AWS, ASME
  • Straight beam mechanized - For erosion corrosion 3-dimensional mapping
  • Flange seal inspection -  Measure and image reaming seal surface width
  • Time of Flight Diffraction
  • Detection of Flow-Acceleration Corrosion
